Petrichor Ventures is a boutique advisory firm dedicated to developing and strengthening East Africa’s private sector in order to promote sustainable economic growth and drive positive economic, social, and environmental impact.
Our work in East Africa focuses on business development, fund management support, market and consumer intelligence (through our Weaverbirds platform), new venture planning and execution, and market-aligned impact. We emphasise innovation as a driving force for sustainable growth and as a key enabler to unlock the potential of market-aligned impact solutions.
Our team
We are a multidisciplinary team with strong regional experience. Our backgrounds are in entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, impact investment, private sector development, and government and public policy. We have hands-on experience working with the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors in East Africa, and bring the technical capabilities, rigour, and contextual know-how needed to add value to every project. We leverage our network of local and international consultants on a per project basis.

Thom Harvey co-founder
A company founder / consultant, supporting the development and delivery of technology and innovation in East Africa for over nine years. During this time he has seeded several technology startups, and worked closely with the Government of Rwanda as an Innovation Advisor through the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI). LinkedIn
